Where in South Africa? | Cape town | Sun City Resort | Mpumalanga |
Zambia and Botswana
One of the most diverse provinces, it comprises a high plateau on the west and sub tropical lowveld on the east. Historic towns, trout streams, game parks and scenic panoramas attract many tourists. A visit to this area is a must as it hosts the best game to be seen in SA.
Game Viewing
South Africa’s private game reserves are renowned for their unique and outstanding game viewing experiences. Lodges are deliberately small to retain the element of exclusivity and limit numbers to sustain the natural environment.
Highly qualified game rangers and trackers turn each safari into a memorable experience. Game viewing is completely unpredictable, but sightings of the Big Five are frequent under these conditions. Rangers constantly relay various details on all the animals they spot – be it a massive pachyderm or a colourful bird flying by.

Boma dinner
Each lodge has a boma which is traditional wooden or reed enclosure many African tribes use as a sheltered dining area.
These bomas are generally lit up by bonfires in the centre and torches around the perimeter, creating a welcoming and cosy atmosphere.
Choirs, marimba bands, traditional dancers and even a sangoma (local healer or witchdoctor) can provide entertainment.
Walking Safari
Your personal ranger will escort you on the experience of a lifetime: a walking safari amongst Africa’s wildest. Safety is always paramount and a thorough briefing is given before wandering off into the bush.
Learn the art of tracking various animals and enjoy the outdoors in a way that only the raw African bush can offer. Various plants, trees and birds are also identified during these treks.
Weather permitting; a surprise dinner in the middle of the bush creates a great deal of excitement. During the course of an evening safari, rangers drive to the designated spot, where tribal dancers, marimba bands and bonfires await. Enjoy a delightful barbecue dinner under African skies. An astrologer can provide great entertainment by explaining the celestial bodies and constellations of the southern hemisphere with the help of a high-powered telescope.
